If you are interested in a career in nursing, a great place to start is, as a certified nursing assistant. You go though cna classes and then take a test to become certified. The reason this is a good idea is, it is a fairly simple process and takes very little time. It also will allow you to start working in the healthcare niche and will allow you to see if nursing is actually something you enjoy. While salary is important, and CNA’s can earn a decent living, you really want to be sure you enjoy hospitality. You will be taking care of people 24-7 in various settings and it can be very rewarding. Some places you may end up working are hospitals, clinics, nursing homes or even in private homes. If after a few months you see that this is not the right type of career for you, you can easily transition into something else without having invested to much time and money. If however you love it, you can continue or start working your way up into higher positions in nursing.
